Bilateral Ocular Ischemic Syndrome Associated with Takayasu Arteritis

Takayasu arteritis is a rare, idiopatic, cronic granulomatous vasculitis of the aorta and its main branches. Takayasu arteritis first described by Japanese ophthalmolog Mikito Takayasu in 1908. It typically affects before the age of 40 young people. It seems predominantly in Japanese and women. It is uncommon in Turkey. A case of Takayasu’s arteritis diagnosed with ocular complications is presented. Keywords : Takayasu arteritis, Ocular ischemic syndrome
