Case Report: Preeclampsia is a syndrome, characterized by hypertension, proteinuria, and generalized edema, which is seen in the second half of pregnancy. It may be associated with HELLP syndrome with hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelet counts. Serous retinal detachment (SRD) which occurs in preeclampsia is a rare cause of visual loss secondary to choroidal ischemia. Here, a 27 year old primigravid patient with preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome who has developed bilateral SRD secondary to choroidal ischemia is presented. In the postpartum period, SRD has completely resorbed leaving mild retinal pigment epithelial changes. Choroidal hypoperfusion related SRD should be considered in the differential diagnosis of visual loss in patients with preeclampsia. Keywords : HELLP syndrome, choroidal ischemia, preeclampsia, serous retinal detachment
