Ege Üniv. Tıp Fak. Göz Hastalıkları AD. A focal exudative lesion localized 1.5 disc distance from the optic disc and satellite lesions were observed in a patient applied with the complaint of decreased vision in her left eye. Laboratory tests carried out for etiologic diagnosis were negative except cultures taken for mycologic investigation. Cultures yielded heavy colonization of Candida tropicalis in the gut, and it was assumed that the retinal lesion could be due to a transient candidemia orginating from intestines. The patient was successfully treated with fluconazole (200-300 mg/day) given perorally and no adverse reactions were detected. Keywords : Endogenous Candida Retinitis, Fluconazole
