Purpose: Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in patients with optical coherence tomography (OCT) and B-mode ultrasonography (B-mode ultrasound) and posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) were measured. Posterior vitreous detachment was investigated with OCT and B-mode ultrasonography (B-mode ultrasound) in AMD patients. The incidence of total and partial PVD was investigated in dry and wet AMD patients.

Materials and Methods: In this prospective observational study, 90 eyes of 48 patients aged 55 years and above were included in the study. Patients were 29 eyes of 18 patients of the type of dry AMD, group 1, 10 eyes of 6 patients of age type of group 2, and 45 eyes of 24 patients with ARMD in the group 3 (control gubu) were classified as.All patients on routine ophthalmologic examination, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), early treatment diabetic retinopahty study (ETDRS), intraocular pressure measurement, biomicroscopic examination and fundus examination was performed. Research done for the OCT and B-mode ultrasound.

Results: The mean age and gender distribution among the three groups, no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). Total PVD, 72.4% of patients with dry AMD (n=21) and wet AMD in 20% (n=2) in the control group 51.1% (n=23) ratio, partial PVD dry-type AMD in 10.3% (n=3), wet YBMD'da 70% (n=7), the control group, 6.7% (n=3) was observed by

Conclusion: Approximately half of the normal population (42%) patients with ARMD Despite PVD (84.6%) were found to have higher rates of PVD. Partially due to the high rate of PVR in patients with wet AMD, the development of CNV in these patients is caused by partial VMA and VMT associated with PVR.
