Eye is an organ which is frequently involved in the whole body trauma. Male patients suffer from ocular trauma more frequently than female patients. Trauma occuring in the work space can be prevented to a great extent. Birmingham Eye Trauma Terminology System provides ophthalmologists with clear definitions of commonly used ocular trauma terminology. Ocular Trauma Score is calculated to predict the visual acuity level of the patient at the end of six months after the trauma. This score helps in counseling and treating the patient. The aim of the ocular trauma surgery is to restore the eye to its healthy anatomic architecture. This may not be possible in some cases and, even evisceration or enucleation might be necessary. Keywords : Travma surgery, travma classification
