Dyes Used in Visualizing of Vitreous and Membranes During Vitreoretinal Surgery

With the aid of technological advances and developments in surgical means, assistant instruments which facilitate the practice of surgeon and shorten the duration of operations, come into the vitreoretinal surgery. Some of these instruments are dyes used in visualizing of vitreous and membranes. In this review, from the most widely-used dyes indocyanine green, brilliant blue, triamcinolone acetonide, trypan blue and infracyanine green will be discussed.
