A 52 year old male patient presented with complaint of visual loss in his right eye. Visual acuity was finger counting on two meter in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye. Fundus examination revealed yellow-white subretinal lesions which covered macula in the right eye. There were retina pigment epithelium atrophy areas consistent with acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy in the left eye. In the right eye, fundus fluorescein angiography revealed hypofluorescence lesions in the early phases with staining in the late phase. In acute phase, optical coherence tomography showed irregularities on the level of retina pigment epithelium in the affected area. After systemic steroid treatment, visual acuity improved 20/20 in the right eye at the first month. It was seen that lesions were regressed at fundus examination and OCT showed increased reflectance of the outer reflective band, and mild disruption of the retina pigment epithelium. Keywords : Acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy, optical coherence tomography
